Services
Network - A facility allowing computers, smartphones, or other devices to connect to the Internet or communicate with one another wirelessly within a particular area.
 
Wireless Network (Wifi) - A local area wireless computer networking technology that allows electronic deviced to communicate with eachother.  
 
  • Public Network - A network that doesn't require a password but gives users limited to no access to the other devices on the same network. 
  • Secure Network - A secure network protects all of your personal information, files and folders with a unique username and password.
  • Hidden Network - A hidden network is a wireless network that is set to not broadcast its name (or service set identifier (SSID).
 
Wired Network - A wired network is Faster, more Reliable, more Secure and almost always less expensive than wireless networks.
 
Modem - A device that provides access to the Internet by connecting to your ISP, which typically provides either cable or DSL Internet service.

ISP - A company that provides its subscribers access to the Internet. (i.e. Comcast Xfinity, AT&T Uverse)
 
Router - A network device that receives and forwards network traffic to computers, printers, and other devices from the Modem.. 
 
Set-Top Box - a device that converts a digital television signal to analogue for viewing on a conventional set, or that enables cable or satellite television to be viewed.
 
Deposit - A sum payable as a first installment on the purchase of something or as a pledge for a contract, the balance being payable later.
