Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Secure Lanes platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including customers who book services and technicians who provide services through the platform.

Secure Lanes is a marketplace that connects customers ("Customers") with independent service technicians ("Technicians") for home and business technology services. Secure Lanes is not a service provider. Technicians are independent contractors, not employees of Secure Lanes.

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Technicians who join the platform acknowledge that they are independent contractors operating their own businesses. Secure Lanes does not set Technician work hours, control day-to-day work methods, or provide tools or equipment.

Technicians are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws. By accepting jobs through the platform, Technicians agree to perform services professionally and to the standards described in their service listings.

Payments are processed through Stripe. By using the Service, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Funds are held and released to Technicians only after the Customer confirms job completion or after the platform's automatic release period.

Secure Lanes charges a platform fee on each completed transaction. Fee amounts are disclosed at time of booking.

Cancellation and refund policies vary based on timing:

24+ hours before appointment: Full refund issued.

Less than 24 hours before appointment: 50% refund issued.

After Technician arrival: No refund for cancellation; job may be charged at Secure Lanes' discretion.

Refunds for service quality disputes are evaluated case-by-case by Secure Lanes support.

You agree not to: use the Service for unlawful purposes; circumvent the platform by arranging off-platform payments with matched Technicians; harass, threaten, or harm other users; post false or misleading reviews; or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECURE LANES AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Secure Lanes in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SECURE LANES DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the Effective Date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
